Tom Duffy
Tom Duffy joined Reach PLC on Merseyside in 2008 and spent the next 13 years working for the company as a journalist. From 2016 he began investigating Liverpool's property sector, and reported heavily on the controversy surrounding fractional sales which resulted in huge losses for investors. In 2019 some of his work made the long list at the Private Eye Paul Foot Awards. In 2020 he revealed that a council funded training academy did not exist, and filed several follow-up stories. He led the Liverpool Echo's investigation into the sale of council land to local companies. Some of his work contributed to a massive police investigation. He also concentrated heavily on drug crime in the city.
