Stewart Fisher joined the as Deputy Online Sports Editor in January 2020 - moving to a digital role after more than two decades in print sports journalism. Joining initially as a sports writer on the Sunday Herald, Stewart spent 19 years in all at the , rising to the position of Chief Sports Writer. There he specialised in Scottish football, covering major Scottish clubs like , , , and on a weekly basis. Duties including reporting on major matches at home and abroad including and . He conducted regular interviews with managers such as , , Alex McLeish, , and Ronny Deila - and has continued doing with key figures since joining the Scottish Sun as well as breaking major stories such as the . Another main focus of interest is the - reporting on national team matches under mangers from Craig Brown to Steve Clarke. While football is a main focus, he's also an all-rounder with interest in all sports, with a major focus on tennis where he covered all three of Grand Slam wins -  triumphs in and  plus his , and travelling as he inspired Great Britain to win the Davis Cup in 2015.
