Lisa Minot

Lisa Minot is Head of Travel at The Sun with four decades of media experience, specialising in Travel, Travel News and Reviews. She leads the Digital and Print teams at The Sun that have won the TravMedia National Newspaper Tabloid Travel Section of the Year award for 2024 as well as the National Newspaper Travel Section Award in the in 2020 and 2023. In 2018 she was presented with a lifetime Special Achievement Award at the Travel Media Awards. Lisa edits the Travel pages that appear in The Sun's print edition on Saturdays, Sundays and Tuesdays. Over the last 26 years she has covered all the major seismic events that have impacted the travel industry including the failures of Thomas Cook, Monarch and XL Leisure as well as the Covid pandemic. She has interviewed leading travel industry figures including Richard Branson, Johan Lundgren, Michael O'Leary, Steve Heapy and Andrew Flintham. She regularly appears on national TV news stations  including , , , , , and commenting on live travel news stories.
