Lloyd Canfield is a dynamic Sports Journalist and Social Media Manager at The Sun, where he has made a name for himself covering high-profile events including the 2022 World Cup, the Champions League, Premier League, as well as Boxing, Darts, and Formula 1. His journey began with a mental health football initiative, and since then, his career has flourished, seeing him report from iconic venues such as Stamford Bridge, The Emirates, and Wembley Stadium. Known for his work ethic and versatility, Lloyd's 2024 highlights include attending press conferences with elite Premier League managers like Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola, and conducting post-match interviews with stars such as Chelsea’s Romeo Lavia. Lloyd's passion for sports extends beyond just professional football. He has conducted on-screen interviews with notable figures such as Chelsea legend Petr Cech, boxers Tommy Fury and Jordan Flynn, Arsenal hero Theo Walcott, Olympic great Mo Farah, and ex-Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe at Soccer Aid. He’s also had memorable encounters with the likes of Eden Hazard, Frank Lampard, and Usain Bolt.
