Jack Elsom
Jack Elsom is The Sun's Chief Political Correspondent based in the Houses of Parliament. He joined the Westminster Lobby team in May 2021 and works across the newspaper and website reporting on British politics. He was shortlisted for political journalist of the year by the London Press Club 2024. His exclusives have included a series of major government leaks which have revealed plans to: ban outdoor smoking; crack down on dodgy football owners; impose draconian gambling regulations on betters; prevent sex education lessons for under-9s, and curtail union power with controversial new anti-strike laws. He also revealed Sir Keir Starmer's decision to u-turn on his flagship pledge to spend £28billion on green projects. Jack regularly appears on various broadcast media outlets including Sky News, Times Radio, Talk and LBC. Before joining The Sun, Jack spent nearly three years as a general news reporter at the MailOnline. He has a Politics degree from King's College London.
