Emillia Hawkins

Emillia Hawkins joined SunSport as a sports reporter in 2021, covering a variety of sports such as football, Formula One, rugby, tennis, and boxing. Having initially started at The Sun on a work placement during her time at university, Emillia was offered the opportunity to continue in the job while she concluded her studies. She graduated from the with a first class honours degree in Sports Journalism in the summer of 2023 and continued work with SunSport Online, leading coverage of the Women's World Cup. She has also been involved with coverage of UEFA Women's Euro 2022, the 2022 men's World Cup, Euro 2024 and the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. As well as covering matches and events, Emillia has also interviewed some former and current footballers. She has twice been shortlisted for the FWA Student Football Writer of the Year Award.
