Dean Scoggins is Deputy head of sport for The Sun and has 18 years of experience in journalism, both breaking exclusive stories, writing headlines and leading production of the SunSport section. He now manages a large group of sport journalists in the UK on a daily basis to edit the newspaper and website. Dean has broken stories including exclusive interviews with boxing champion Anthony Joshua and England star Jack Wilshere. Dean Scoggins joined The Sun in 2006, as a graduate trainee (following a degree in journalism) and worked as a sub-editor before spells as rugby union correspondent and midlands football reporter. He covered international rugby and football before being promoted to lead The Sun's digital transformation project. Following that, Dean has used his vast football knowledge and headline-writing expertise to lead production of the newspaper and . Dean has appeared as a football expert to offer commentary on Sky News, Sky Sports News, TalkSport, TalkTV, Al Arabiya UK and on The Sun's YouTube channel where he now writes and presents a football tactics show on and tactics.
