David Robson
David Robson is a sports journalist who joined in October 2021. He initially joined the newspaper as a freelance sports reporter before joining the Online Sports team as a full-time permanent member of staff in May 2022. It was his first full-time job after graduating from the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) with a sports journalism degree that same month. David also graduated with a HND in Journalism & Multimedia at the City of Glasgow College (CoGC) in 2020 before finishing his studies at UWS. During his time at CoGC, David was named the sports editor of the college's website and covered football games up and down the country every weekend, including and matches - writing match reports and being involved in post-match press conferences. He also held the position of entertainment editor for months during the same period. He later continued to cover matches as a reporter for after leaving college. During that time, David also spent time in club media with Newmains United, Caledonian Braves and then Hamilton Accies. His spell at Hamilton included a particular career highlight - being the lead commentator for AcciesTV with former Rangers and Hearts player David Templeton on co-comms. Aside from commentary duties, he was the producer of their matchday streaming channel and interviewed players and the manager ahead of games and on matchdays. At the Scottish Sun, David primarily writes about with several of his stories featuring clubs such as Celtic, Rangers, , , and others. As well as football, he also has a keen interest in other sports, including snooker, darts and athletics.
