Connor Steel
Connor Steel has been a casual online sports reporter for since November 2024. He mostly covers football. most often the including teams such as , , , , and , and the , while also having a particular interest in the Scottish Championship and lower leagues. He has volunteered with the media team of men's, women's, and academy teams since July 2022, where he has written, filmed, edited, presented, and interviewed for the club's media output. Outside of football, Connor graduated in summer 2024 from with an Upper Second Class BA (Hons) degree in with accreditation. In his time studying at GCU, he was a regular contributor on the airwaves of student station , wrote pieces on sport, music, film, and television for student newspaper , and produced packages and articles for online student publication the . Connor also picked up a 60 words-per-minute certification in Teeline shorthand while at university. Alongside The Scottish Sun and Partick Thistle, Connor currently holds two more roles. He has been a part-time member of the picture desk at since August 2022, primarily editing and captioning pictures of football games as well as other sport and press events for use in print and online publications across the country. Since August 2024, he has freelanced as a reporter for , gathering news, writing, and presenting for hourly bulletins and online content. Across the last few years, Connor has also taken part in short term work experience with the (in both news and sport), , and produced promotional video content for the music festival .
