Andy Dillon
Andy Dillon has climbed the precarious ladder at SunSport over 24 years as a staff member and now covers Chelsea. Surely by now he should know what makes a story! Starting off as a casual match reporter at Championship level, Andy learned the ropes under the guidance of legendary SunSport reporter Pat Sheehan - for many years a story-getting football 'scuffler' and then boxing correspondent. Some of his exploits include driving a power boat across Poole Harbour while blindfolded, having his hair dyed orange by a former Tottenham defender turned Vidal Sassoon stylist and facing Julius Francis in a boxing ring ahead of his world heavyweight title fight against Mike Tyson. Andy has a reputation for asking pertinent but more often than not dangerously silly questions of big name stars in press conferences in a bid to nail a 'Sun' line for the paper or website. He writes opinion columns from time to time when nobody else can be bothered.
