Amir Razavi
Amir Razavi is The Sun's Showbiz News Correspondent. He joined the paper as a news reporter in 2020 and moved over to the showbiz team in 2024.
Since his promotion, he has broken exclusive stories such as DIY SOS host Nick Knowles signing up to Strictly and Hollywood actor Paul Mescal appearing to sniff a substance while partying at Glastonbury.
While working on news, he brought in exclusives on a range of national stories - including an interview with former world champion boxer Amir Khan about his gunpoint robbery ordeal, British PoWs fighting for Ukraine getting freed thanks to Roman Abramovich, the Liverpool hospital bomber, Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding to Nicola Peltz in Florida and Sir Keir Starmer’s “Beergate bash” during the Covid lockdown.
Amir appeared on the Channel 5 documentary Katie Price: Where Did All the Money Go? which aired in September 2024.
He gained his NCTJ Diploma in Journalism from Brighton Journalist Works in 2016, then started his career as a reporter at the Brighton Argus in 2017. He moved to Ferrari Press Agency the following year, where he provided stories to the national newspapers, then joined The Sun in 2020.
