Alex Matthews

Alex is Assistant Head of News on the UK news desk at The Sun Online. He previously worked as a news reporter for the Gravesend Messenger in Kent before joining MailOnline as a news reporter in 2015. Alex joined The Sun Online as a news reporter in 2018 and was based in Westminster to cover the Brexit legal challenge and the 2019 general election. He later served as The Sun Online’s US Election News Editor in 2020. Alex then became Assistant News Editor on the World news desk before transferring to the UK news desk.
