PAGE 3 legend Sam Fox has been left devastated by the death of her long-term girlfriend.
Myra Stratton passed away last weekend following a two-year battle with cancer.
The news was announced on 49-year-old Sam’s Twitter page. The message read: “It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Myra Stratton. She was Samantha Fox’s partner and manager for the last 16 years.
“She bravely fought cancer for the last two years but lost her battle on Sunday. Samantha asks for privacy as she grieves.”
Sam started dating Myra around 2003 and said at the time: “I have slept with other women but I’ve not been in love before Myra Stratton. People say I’m gay… I don’t know what I am. All I know is I’m in love with Myra. I love her completely and want to spend the rest of my life with her.”
In August 2009 Sam announced plans to wed Myra in a civil partnership and said she wanted Motorhead frontman Lemmy to give her away.
She said at the time: “I’ll tell you who’s definitely coming — Lemmy from Motorhead.
“We might get him to give me away, and we might get Liz Mitchell from Boney M to do the ceremony — she’s a pastor now.”
Sam first appeared in The Sun in 1983 aged 16 and became the most popular pin-up of the 1980s. She later launched a pop career and appeared on I’m A Celebrity.
A source said: “Sam is absolutely devastated. She adored and loved Myra and her loss has created a huge hole in her life.
“Myra was Sam’s manager but also her best friend and lover. It’s a huge loss for her.”
