GOGGLEBOX favourites Chris Steed and Stephen Webb have signed a big money deal
to star in the next Celebrity Big Brother.
The TV double act became viewer favourites thanks to their hilarious, catty
responses while watching the week’s TV highlights on the Channel 4 show.
And now Big Bro bosses are prepared to put up an eye-watering sum for the
former couple, who are both engaged, to appear in the famous house alongside
a gaggle of other celebs.
Producers are convinced their no-holds barred style will help stoke tension in
the house.
But there is a chance the pair may have to quit Gogglebox so they can star on
CBB, which is broadcast by rival Channel 5.
A source told the Sun Online: “The show’s producers are really keen to get
them on and would be happy to pay up to £500,000 to see it happen.

“Everyone’s really excited at the prospect because they are so dynamic and
they already know they make great TV.
“They’re fan favourites and their dry humour is bound to be hilarious in the
house.”
Stephen and Chris aren’t the first Gogglebox stars to make it on to the show –
George Gilbey starred on it in the summer of 2014.
The likeable lad proved to be a hit on the show with both the ladies and
viewers – finishing up in fourth place – and producers are hoping for the
same success with Chris and Stephen.
“George was a surprise hit on the show due to, amongst other things, his
relationship with both Stephanie Pratt and Edele Lynch,” the source
continued.
“Chris and Stephen will do just as well, if not better.”
Chris and Stephen were in a relationship when they first signed up to take
part in Gogglebox.
They remained together for the first series but later split, admitting the
show played a big part in that.
Speaking to What’s on TV in 2014, Stephen admitted: “Because we spent so
much time together… we realised that our opinions are quite different, and
the show did highlight that.
“And I did feel when I watched it back that I almost pick on him, and I
didn’t like that feeling.
Viewers often assume they are still together despite the fact Chris is engaged
to new man Tony Butland and Stephen to Daniel Lustig.
Speaking about their close friendship, Stephen told the previously: “We are still in a relationship, a friendly,
good relationship.”
While Chris added: “We’re very touchy feely with each other and people
get the idea that we might be getting back together, which is not happening.”
