JAMES WADE insists marriage will sharpen his game and silence the doubters.
The Machine got hitched to stunning Sammi Marsh, a glamour model and former
darts walk-on girl over the summer.
In their early dating days, Wade put up with cruel accusations that Marsh was
only interested in his bulging bank balance.
But this darts power couple are very much in love — with Wade convinced it
will only help his results on the oche.
The world No7, said: “When we first went out, there was the whole thing about
‘Samantha is only with you for your money’.
“It actually made me a little bit paranoid in the beginning. Then I realised
what family Samantha comes from and that was not her intention.
“All the doubters had to shut up when they realised we were so strong — she is
my rock.

“Our wedding was lovely, a beautiful day. Being married is great.
“I feel good about my life and my game. I have stability in my life. I have
things right at home.
“Sammi does so much people don’t see. She is a very busy bee. We are pretty
much inseparable.”
Wade, who once dated Soccer AM presenter Helen Chamberlain, knew instantly
that Sammi was going to be ‘the one’.
The couple even have matching tattoos of each other’s names — with Sammi
having ‘James’ inked on her leg.
Wade, 32, laughed: “We knew each other for only three weeks but we thought we
should have something done.
“I have ‘Sammi’ on my chest — I wouldn’t be stupid enough to put a tattoo on
me without knowing that we felt right together.”
But any thoughts of a honeymoon have put on hold for the time being.
The Aldershot ace revealed: “I haven’t had a holiday for about five years.
There is just no time on the darts calendar.
“There’s no segregation between private life and work life — it is all work.
“And I cannot see any time in the foreseeable future.”
