JEREMY Corbyn says he is “not happy” with a “shoot-to-kill” policy in the
event of a UK terror attack.
The Labour leader’s admission saw him slammed as “unfit to be Prime Minister”.
And he was “savaged” by his own MPs during angry exchanges at a Parliamentary
Labour Party meeting.
Backbencher John Mann revealed that his niece hid in a Paris toilet for three
hours on Friday night “thinking she was going to be murdered”.
He asked Mr Corbyn if he was saying “terrorists with Kalashnikovs should not
be shot in such situations”.
After the fiery meeting one shadow minister said of Mr Corbyn: “He got
roasted. He’s a f****** disgrace.”
There were also claims that Shadow International Development Secretary Diane
Abbott wrote her Christmas cards during the meeting.
Mr Corbyn, in an earlier TV interview, questioned the legality of the drone
strike on UK terrorist Jihadi John.
He said: “I’m awaiting an explanation of where the legal basis was for that
incident.”
But Defence Secretary Michael Fallon warned: “Doing nothing has consequences.”
Cam: No strikes
DAVID Cameron yesterday ruled out air strikes on IS in Syria unless a peace
plan is agreed — angering America.
The RAF has carried out strikes in Iraq, but the PM’s new climbdown delays any
action in Syria for months.
Speaking at the G20 summit, Mr Cameron said: “A few extra bombs and missiles
won’t transform the situation.”
In a thinly veiled dig, President Barack Obama said countries “need to step up
with the resources” to fight IS. Senior Labour MP John Woodcock called the
PM’s stance “woeful”.
