JEREMY Corbyn once had a fling with his Shadow Cabinet member Diane Abbott, it was reported last night.
The Labour leader allegedly started a relationship with Ms Abbott in the late 1970s when he was a councillor in Haringey, North London.
He was understood to have been separated from his first wife Jane Chapman, a fellow Labour councillor he had married in 1974. According to The Times, Corbyn had a “brief fling” with Abbott and the pair holidayed together.
It emerged after Mr Corbyn was criticised for failing to step in after Ms Abbott accused another woman Labour MP of being “sanctimonious”.
