DISGRACED MP Simon Danczuk leaves a police station yesterday after being
quizzed over an alleged historic rape.
Danczuk, 49, had dismissed claims dating back to 2006 as “lies” but said he
would “fully cooperate”.
A police spokesman said: “A complaint was made to Lancashire Constabulary on
January 4, 2016 by a woman of a historic rape.”
Rochdale MP Mr Danczuk last week called the claim “malicious, untrue and
extremely upsetting”.
Danczuk was also accused by his first wife Sonia Rossington, 39, of having had
sex with her in her sleep during their 14-year marriage.
