Justin Lee Collins ‘used sex list to hurt lover’

Notebook 'hit her self-esteem'

TELLY comic Justin Lee Collins used a list of his girlfriend’s lovers to
destroy her self-esteem, a court heard yesterday.

The notebook containing recovering alcoholic Anna Larke’s sexual escapades was
designed to haunt her, insisted prosecutor Peter Shaw in his closing speech.

He said that Collins, 38, used the pad as “the rock against which any
self-esteem she had was dashed”.

Mr Shaw disputed the TV star’s claims that the grubby dossier — which included
details of sex toys and positions — was the idea of Larke, 38, and intended
as a therapeutic exercise.

But Sonia Woodley QC, defending, said: “She took that book as a weapon to use
against him. It may indicate deep insecurity.”

Miss Larke, who moved into Collins’ luxury pad in Kew, South West London,
claims he pulled her hair, hit her in her private parts, threw a sat-nav at
her and gave her bruises.

But Ms Woodley said: “This is not a violent man. There is no evidence that she
suffered from bruises.”

Collins, who shot to fame on Channel 4’s Friday Night Project, denies
harassment.

The trial at St Albans Crown Court, Herts, continues.
