Wes Brown’s wife on getting smashed in Vegas, pole-dancing in front of the Rooneys and collapsing on big night out

EXCLUSIVE: Real Housewives of Cheshire star Leanne tells The Sun on Sunday all in candid chat

LEANNE BROWN gyrated around a pole in a casino, threw up, collapsed in
front of Wayne Rooney and was then trundled out of the Las Vegas venue in a
wheelchair.

The lapdancer-turned-Wag recalls happily: “I was wearing red shiny disco pants
and a leopard-print vest. It was just like old times.”

It was a night to remember — or would have been if the 39-year-old had not
been a bit befuddled by vodka.

Luckily Coleen Rooney was also there, along with husband Wayne and Leanne’s
Sunderland player husband Wes, and Coleen took photos to jog her friend’s
memory the next day.

Real Housewives of Cheshire star Leanne told The Sun on Sunday: “They all saw
it but they are down to earth and saw the funny side.

“We went to a club to watch Calvin Harris DJ and bought a gigantic bottle of
vodka.

“When we left I tried to smuggle it out but got caught so we had to put it
into plastic cups. Then we knocked it back in a casino.

“I don’t normally drink but being on holiday it was a chance to have a
night out together.

“I was smashed. It was like something out of The Hangover. Other girls were
jumping up to dance around this pole for a giggle so I joined in. After
dancing around this pole on a podium I chucked up, then slumped on the
floor.

“Wes tried to sling me over his shoulder and get me out of the casino but the
bouncers wouldn’t let him because of health and safety.

“So I was put into a wheelchair and he had to wheel me out. The next day
Coleen sent me lots of pictures so I could remember exactly what I’d done!”

These days Leanne feels comfortable partying with her rich and famous
friends because she has found her own minor celebrity status.

She is currently in negotiations to take part in the third series of ITVBe’s
Housewives, and for the first time feels as well-known as her ex-Man Utd and
England star husband.

In an exclusive interview in her Cheshire mansion, Leanne said: “I get more
attention than Wes now.

“But he doesn’t mind, he doesn’t like being the centre of attention.”

Unlike Leanne.

When the couple first met 17 years ago she was already very much in the
spotlight, working as a dancer in clubs in London and across the North West.

She explained: “I moved to Manchester from the Lake District with my best mate
when I was just 19. I left an abusive relationship.

“We got a flat above an off-licence and when my friend was shopping in there
she was approached and offered a job as a table dancer.

“I had fried-egg boobs, but I loved dancing and gymnastics so I went with her
for the audition.

“We bought bikinis and a little sarong. It was pretty seedy. We watched the
other girls then performed a dance for the boss and got ourselves jobs.

“It was easy money — like a night out with your mates but every 30 minutes you
took your clothes off.

“It gave me my confidence back, I felt like I was sticking the V’s up to my
ex. It was funny because I wasn’t the tallest or the one with the big boobs
but I would get dances.

“Some girls got gifts too but I think they did more than I was prepared to. I
danced, that was it.

“I did it for four years. It bought me my boobs.”

It was while partying at a club on a night off that she met Wes.

She had no idea who he was but there was instant chemistry and they kissed
before even exchanging first names. She was 22. He was only 17 and was
thrilled to hear about her career — at first.

Leanne admits: “I think he liked the idea he was seeing a table dancer until
he came to watch me and said, ‘Please don’t do it, you don’t need to’. I
stopped for him.”

Leanne enrolled herself in a beauty therapy course at college and the couple
have been together ever since. They married in 2009 and have three
daughters, Halle, 13, Lilia, eight, and four-year-old Lola.

Leanne remembers meeting Wag icons Victoria Beckham, Steven Gerrard’s wife
Alex and Nancy Dell’Olio. She said: “It was scary. You worry about what to
say, what to wear. To get through it I would always think, ‘They have a s**t
just like the rest of us’.”

With a house full of daughters it is no surprise Leanne has just launched
her own clothing range, Kiss Frogs, for 12 to 16-year-old girls. She admits
Wag-turned-designer Posh is an inspiration.

She said: “I would love to be as successful as Victoria.

“The clothes are trendy but age-suitable — clothes our girls would like to
wear without Wes going crazy about how old they are trying to look.
Hopefully I’ve reached a happy medium.” She has also reached a happy medium
in her knowledge of footie, despite admitting she is not a fan. Leanne said:
“I know the offside rule but I don’t know who everyone is in the Sunderland
first team.”

While Wes, 36, plays in the North East, Leanne and the girls are happy to stay
in Cheshire.

She explains: “I did consider moving there but Wes said I’d hate it because
there aren’t many shops!

“It’s nice to have him at home. I’m not worried about him and other women when
he is away. I completely trust him.”

And the pair both have a taste for a bargain, despite Wes’s seven-figure
salary. She explained: “I do Tesco online shopping and when it says I have
missed a bargain I add in things to get the offer.

“Wes loves Costco and the garden centre. He comes back with all sorts.

“We have two large wooden bird statues in the garden, he’s brought back a set
of knives, a plastic penguin and a fake turtle.”

But the couple’s main focus is, of course, their three children.

Leanne said: “I want them to be successful and happy. Would I let them lap
dance? I wouldn’t like it.

“I am not ashamed of what I did but I know my kids can do better and I know
Wes would never let it happen.”
