First look at Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy remake

TINKER, Tailor, Soldier, Spy has been causing a huge buzz in the run-up to its
release.

The cold war thriller — which iss the most star-studded British movie
since Love Actually — premiered to rave reviews at the Venice Film
Festival this week.

And we have an exclusive clip featuring film legends Gary Oldman and Colin
Firth as well as Brit star Stephen Graham.

Based on the John Le Carré novel, the movie is set in 1970s London.

It centres on an MI6 hideout known as The Circus, where intelligence chief
Control — played by John Hurt — is convinced he has a mole who is
passing information to the Russians.

He calls semi-retired espionage veteran George Smiley (Gary Oldman) to
investigate which of the five trusted spies is really a double agent.

Colin Firth is charming upper class high-flyer Bill Haydon, who receives some
bad news from colleague Jerry (Stephen Graham) in the clip.

Tom Hardy plays the roguish Rikki Tar and Benedict Cumberbatch the gentlemanly
Peter Guillam.

Kathy Burke, Mark Strong, Toby Jones and Ciaran Hinds also star in the hotly
anticipated movie.

The novel was first published in 1974. Five years later it was turned into a
hit TV series starring Alec Guinness, Ian Richardson, Hywel Bennett and Ian
Bannen.

The big-screen version, directed by Tomas Alfredson, is released on September
16.
