Cruel online trolls label four-year-old with dwarfism ‘ugly’

But brave mum says: 'The haters motivate me'

FOUR-YEAR-OLD Quaden has been targeted by online trolls since his mum posted a
video of him on Facebook.

The cheeky youngster was filmed reacting to his own facial expressions in the
mirror.

Mum Yarraka Bayles thought users would join her in celebrating the boy’s
cuteness.

But instead vicious comments on the footage included “s*** what an ugly
kid” and also “look at that little midget” or “crack
house kid”.

Another person wrote “that’s what happens when you do drugs when you are
pregnant”.

Yarraka told the Mail Online: ‘I’m so proud of him and his achievements and
his milestones that I can’t contain myself so I chose to share it.”

“Nobody likes to hear nasty things about their kids or have them being
bullied.”

Quaden was diagnosed with the most common form of dwarfism known as
achondroplasia at just three days old in Brisbane, Australia.

The young lad has made frequent trips to hosiptal over the past year after an
MRI revealed his brain was starting to pinch the top of his spine.

After this discovery, the brave tot underwent a huge operation on his brain
this year in April to stop him losing the use of his arms and legs.

Yarraka is a campaigner for dwarfism awareness and has set up support groups
for families in Brisbane with children who have dwarfism.

Despite the upsetting comments people have left about her son, the proud mum
has used the video, seen over 50,000 times, to help with her campaign.

She explains: “The haters are the motivators. It makes me work a lot
harder because there’s a not a lot of dwarfism awareness in Australia.”

Yarraka has an impressive and admirable attitude to those who stare at her son
in the street.

She says: “Some people will judge him on his physical appearance and
think otherwise, but they’re really not worth the energy.”

“There are so many uneducated people in the world – it’s really sad that
they don’t get to see the joy.’
