Carl Fogarty wins I’m A Celebrity 2014

SUPERBIKE champion Carl Fogarty burst into tears as he crowned King of The
Jungle last night after dubbing it “all a dream.”

The shocked I’m A Celebrity champ said “it’s not real” as he sat on top of the
throne after beating Jake Quickenden for the coveted title.

Mel Sykes landed in third position confessing she was “a bit gutted” not to
make the final two.

After Ant and Dec announced Foggy had won the show, he said: “It’s not real,
someone’s playing a joke on me.”

“It’s not sinking in at all.

“Back on top after 15 years, it feels great.

“This is the best thing that ever happened to me.

“I didn’t expect this to happen in my age, in my career.

“The public voting for you is unbelievable.”

Foggy, 49, nearly lost his crown down over the side of the bridge after his
wife Michaela, 48, jumped on top of him in excitement as he made his way out
of the camp.

Speaking about the regime, Foggy said it was “tougher than expected” but said
the ten celebrities “made me feel at ease”.

Foggy struck up a “bromance” with footballer Jimmy Bullard on the show,
saying: “He was my best mate in there, just that morning, I thought I was
going to go.

“I thought he was a dead cert to stay, I fell apart like a cheap watch.

“I was hoping there would be someone from a sporting background before.

“I knew who Jimmy was, I thought, ‘Finally, someone that I can have a laugh
with.’”

Runner up Jake Quickenden told how he was happy to have lost to the superbike
champion.

He revealed: “I couldn’t have lost to a better man.

“He’s Crocodile Dundee.

“He deserves it, he’s a legend. I couldn’t have asked for a better man to be
in the jungle.

“It’s been the best time of my life.”

Favourite Jimmy Bullard was accused of bullying Jake during the show after
their banter took a nasty turn.

Jake yesterday revealed: “Jimmy told me he ain’t got no boundaries and I
realised that.

“There were points when I thought is he joking or is he serious?

“You’ve got to give as good as you get.

“I knew Jimmy was messing around.”

Mel Sykes, 44, was left “gutted” after she landed in third place which left
the two boys stunned, with Foggy declaring: “I thought she was the one.”

The former Boddingtons model said: “I’ve got to be honest, I’m a bit gutted,
when you get so close.

“I’ve had a ball. It was better than I expected, I thought it was going to be
more hellish.

“I didn’t know I would last as long as I did.

“It’s exceeded all expectations, I don’t want to sound corny but it really
has.”

IF Carl was a stick of rock he would have “MAN” running through the middle.

Your new King of the Jungle is more manly than Elvis and drips testosterone as
he walks.

Blokes say he is a legend. Women know he is just the right side of rough. And
his history riding superbikes seems to fill him with something invincible.

Completely at home in the jungle, Carl is Crocodile Dundee — wrestling
alligators with his teeth, snacking on cockroaches, and sucking on electric
eels to bring light to the camp.

The one thing Carl needs is a best buddy to hang out with. Being reunited with
Jimmy Bullard may be his very own jungle highlight.

I predict drunken nudity and advise all women on the Gold Coast to take cover.

Brilliantly British, Carl loves a pie, but we can count the times we heard him
complain on one hand.

His win restores my faith in humanity. We like dependable, we like invincible
— and we like a good lad who can take the p**s out of an American.

All Hail, Carl the King!
