A MAN who claims to be a HOMELESS beggar has received death threats after he
was caught on camera getting in his lavish sports car.
Sitting hunched over on the pavement with his border collie Hazel, bedraggled
Matthew Brinton appeared to be sleeping rough on the streets of Newquay,
Cornwall without a penny to his name.
But when this astonishing video emerged of the 35-year-old getting into his
Audi TT at Mount Wise car park, kindhearted strangers who gave him money
were left in shock.
The scandalous video was filmed and posted on Facebook by Kain Kennedy of
Newquay, Cornwall and has now been shared more than 500 times.
It appears to show vagrant Matthew loading up the sports car – worth around
£30,000 brand new – before reportedly driving off.
On Facebook outraged Kain wrote: “This vile man claims to be homeless yet
is driving around in a black Audi TT!
“He sits outside of the Newquay clintons card shop!

“This has been removed from the Newquay page for reasons that can’t be
discussed, but this guy needs to be stopped!!
“It’s had 500+ shares! Let’s make it go viral!”
According to one Facebook user, Matthew conned £40 from an elderly man to pay
for a night in a B&B despite allegedly returning to his own home the
next day.
Trudy Blair wrote: “The poor elderly gent was distraught that his
kindness had been abused in such a way. It’s disgusting!”
But despite the incriminating footage, Matthew claims the lavish motor was a
gift from his nan and was stolen soon after the video was shot.
Now Matthew says he’s contemplating suicide after a torrent of abuse from
social media critics have left him at his wit’s end.
He claims he’s staying at a friend’s house in Newquay, but feels his position
there is being jepordised after receiving death threats from his abusers on
social media.
He says he’s not been able to eat for days as he worries people have now
become less sympathetic to his circumstances.
Matthew said: “I have not seen any of the social media posts because I do
not have access to the internet but according to the police I’ve had lots of
death threats.
“People are assuming too much and I’m getting a lot of abuse, which is
pushing me to suicide.
“This has been going on for years.
“There is only so much someone can take.”
In the comments section of the post, Nadine Mills wrote: “Spoke to the
police again re this situation and just to reiterate again he is not
homeless, he doesn’t live in the Ivydale, I know exactly where he lives.
“The police have tried their utmost to deal with the situation
unfortunately the CPS let them down, the police have advised that if people
step forward and make complaints then they can push forward and stop Matts
facade xx.”
