THE Queen’s corgis are ranked by seniority and dine on silver platters
served by a butler, an insider has revealed.
Animal psychologist Dr Roger Mugford, who has helped train the dogs, said each
have their own tailor-made menu and are fed in order of importance.

silver and porcelain dishes.” He told Town & Country magazine: “As
I watched, the Queen got the corgis to sit in a semi-circle around her, and
then fed them one by one, in order of seniority.

“The others just sat and patiently waited their turn. Few other owners can

The Queen has owned more than 30 corgis, all descendants of a pet called Susan
she was given as an 18th birthday present. Princess Diana once referred to
the dogs as “a moving carpet”.
Former royal butler Paul Burrell claimed he was knocked unconscious after nine
corgis tripped him up.
Although the Queen once had a 13-strong pack, she currently owns just two —
Holly and Willow — plus corgi and dachshund cross breeds Candy and Vulcan.
