SINGER Susan Boyle’s companies have taken a £1.1million hit in a single year,
figures have revealed.
Assets for SuBo’s three firms dropped from £3.8million to just under
£2.7million, according to records filed with Companies House.
The balance on the I Dreamed A Dream star’s main company Duil Ltd — named
after the Gaelic word for ‘hope’ — went from more than £3.3million to just
under £2.2million.
Speur Ltd — Gaelic for ‘sky’ — is worth £357,000, £111,000 less than a year
ago. Speur Films, set up to help bankroll a movie of SuBo’s life, has
£140,000 in the bank.
But finance experts believe the full value of the 53-year-old’s fortune could
be much more.
A source said: “She’ll be receiving revenue through other means, these
accounts may only be a fraction of her total earnings.
Although the money’s dropped, she may have just taken some out for her own
use.”
Last year, SuBo — who has total control of the firms which handle income from
her music and merchandising — spent £110,000 on the house next door to hers
in Blackburn, Midlothian, to convert the two homes into a six-bedroomed
property.
