Who shot Simon Cowell? Amanda Holden, Ant and Dec and Louis Walsh suspects as X Factor boss is gunned down

TV bad guy meets his maker courtesy of a celeb pal...but luckily it's all a joke

TV bad guy Simon Cowell has finally got his comeuppance after being shot down
at his lavish mansion – and one of his celebrity pals is in the frame.

The dad-of-one, 56, seemingly met his maker after being gunned down by a
single bullet at a birthday party thrown by a host of famous faces.

But thankfully it’s all in the name of comedy for Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night
Takeaway, which returns for a new series this weekend.

The music mogul has roped in stars of his programmes including Britain’s Got
Talent judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Piers Morgan, former X Factor
panellist Louis Walsh, and the show’s hosts Olly Murs and Caroline Flack to
take part in the star-studded whodunnit.

In a snippet of the action revealed on The Graham Norton Show, Simon is
pictured at the top of a spiral staircase as his A list colleagues and
friends surround a heart-shaped Cowell cake.

As the group begins a rousing ‘Happy Birthday’ rendition the harsh TV judge
calls a stop to the singing, demanding: “That is so obvious – second
song.”

The witty quip – a reference to one of his well-worn lines on the X Factor –
causes a stir among his guests.

But the real shock comes just seconds later as Simon tumbles down the spiral
staircase with the sound of a gunshot echoing in the silence.

He lands face-first on the floor as Piers and co scream and look wide-eyed in
horror.
