FORMER Vice Presidential hopeful Sarah Palin is set to endorse Donald Trump as
the Republican White House candidate according to reports from the US.
Trump’s campaign provided a statement from the ex-governor of Alaska saying:
“I’m proud to endorse Donald J. Trump for president.”
The former US apprentice star and property billionaire said that he was
“greatly honoured by Sarah’s endorsement.”
He said: “She’s a friend, and a high-quality person whom I have great respect
for.
“I am proud to have her support.”

Palin, who ran alongside John McCain in the 2008 race which saw Barack Obama
enter the White House, is expected to announce her endorsement of Trump at a
rally in Iowa this afternoon.
Her show of support comes at a key point in the race for the presidency as the
first primary election is due to be held in the state on 1 February.
The 51-year-old mum-of-four’s remarks are likely to unsettle one of Trump’s
close rivals, Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who is also looking to grab support
form anti-establishment voters.
The 69-year-old tycoon showered his latest high profile supporter with praise
describing her as a “trusted conservative” with a “proven record of being
fiscally modest, staunchly pro-life and [she] believes in small government
that allows businesses to grow and freedom to prosper”.
Yesterday the UK parliament debated banning the controversial candidate from
the country following his calls to ban all Muslims from the United States.
