A SCIENTIFIC study has revealed that poor hygiene is the number one turn-off
when it comes to dating.
Research from Western Sydney University also shows that laziness and neediness
rank in the top three off-putting qualities.
One of the studies asked 2,744 single adults what they considered dating
deal–breakers, and then were able to put together a list of the ten most
unattractive characteristics.
The following diagram shows the percentage of people who would refuse to date
someone with these traits.
One-third of participants wouldn’t date someone who was stubborn, addicted to
technology or had a low sex drive.
Almost half of the singletons thought that low confidence, bad sex and
long-distance romance put dating off the cards.
Characteristics that were found repellant by around 60 per cent of people were
poor sense of humour, neediness and laziness.
The biggest turn-off for people on the dating scene was revealed to be someone
who had poor hygiene that looked dishevelled or unclean.
