A BOY aged 14 who allegedly encouraged a man in Australia to carry out a terrorist beheading and attack a war remembrance service has been remanded in custody.
The schoolboy – who cannot be named for legal reasons – appeared at Westminster magistrates’ court this morning.
He is accused of inciting another person to carry out an attack on an Anzac Day ceremony and encouraging them to behead someone.
The boy, of Blackburn, Lancs, was remanded in a youth detention centre.
A preliminary hearing will be held at the Old Bailey later today.
The boy was charged with two counts of inciting terrorism overseas after Lancashire Police raided an address in Blackburn on April 2.
Anzac Day is commemorated on April 25 in memory of Australian and New Zealand soldiers who have died in war.
