‘How stupid can you get?’: Yobs post middle finger selfies in stolen car on Facebook, putting cops on their tail

EXCLUSIVE: Car theft pair branded “dumb and dumber” after auto-theft attempt goes viral

A DOPEY duo were dubbed ‘Dumb and Dumber’ yesterday after they posed for
selfies in a stolen motor — then posted the snaps on Facebook.

Stuart Baillie, 22, and pal Brandon Jennings, 19, bragged about nicking the
Toyota Aygo online and uploaded a series of snaps to pals.

Baillie even used one pic as his cover photo on Facebook and wrote underneath
it: “ #Jammin me and bj on are p’s n q’s.”

But the pair now face arrest after furious victim Ross Jones issued an online
appeal to get his mum-in-law’s car back.

Ceiling fitter Ross, 29, was swamped with photographs of the suspects sitting
in the Toyota with his son’s car seat still visible in the background.

Dad-of-two Ross said: “Within minutes I had the names of the two lads.
How stupid can you get posting photographs of yourself in a car that you’ve
nicked?

“But it just sums up the youth of today – they have no respect. They
should be out working not stealing cars.

“People work hard for a living and should be able to get up in a morning
without their car being taken.”

Ross, from Heywood, Manchester added: “I just hope they get caught and

Last night, Ross’s post had been shared more than 3,500 times.

Ross has told the police the thieves’ identities – but they are yet to be
arrested.

He said: “Baillie is well known to the police but they haven’t managed to
track him down yet.”

The car was stolen from his mum-in-law’s home in Heywood on Sunday night, cops
said.

Since then Baillie and Jennings have received a barrage of abuse on Facebook.

Others branded the pair “thieving scum” and named them “Dumb
and Dumber” after the hit Jim Carey film for posting the snaps.

One wrote: “Talk about grassing yourselves up, showing off in a stolen

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: “We have been made aware of
the theft and investigations are ongoing.

“No arrests have been made at this time.”
