A MAN has been arrested for the ‘Babes in the Wood’ murders of two schoolgirls
– a case which has gone unsolved for 30 years.
Nicola Fellows, 10, and her friend Karen Hadaway, nine, were found strangled
near their homes in Brighton on October 10, 1986
Officers from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team have confirmed they
arrested a man earlier today on suspicion of their murder.
The girls’ bodies were discovered in bushes with Karen’s head resting on the
other girl’s lap.
Nicola had been sexually assaulted.
The identity of the arrested man has yet to be released.

They had been missing since the day before sparking a city wide hunt involving
residents, friends, family and 150 police.
Both girls’ families have never given up hope of catching those responsible.
