IT all started off well on Loose Women this lunchtime when special guest
Charlotte Crosby joined the panel for a chat.
But Charlotte was quickly left to defend her choices after feisty panellist
Janet Street Porter grilled the Geordie Shore star on why she didn’t seek
therapy for her insecurities instead of having a nose job.
Charlotte, 25, was then questioned by Janet as to whether she thought she was
a good role model.
The conversation started off with Charlotte being asked about her massive
transformation and why she decided to have cosmetic surgery.
Charlotte was honest and said she had insecurities, especially when it came to
her nose, and said: “I couldn’t bear to watch myself on TV.”

doctor Dr. Esho
Asked if she was happy now and if she had a ‘Bucket List’ for surgery she
would like to have done, Charlotte replied: “No, no! No Bucket List.”
Panellist and surgery fan Katie Price then ask Charlotte if she would have her
boobs done, the star said: “I don’t like boobs, I don’t want any!”
She added “I prefer when I’ve got none!”
But the light-hearted conversation quickly turned when Janet Street Porter
wanted to know if she thought she was setting the right example for her
young fans.
Janet asked her: “What message does that send to teenage girls who watch
your show, follow you on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, who might think,
‘My nose has a lump in it but I haven’t got four grand to spend’?”
Charlotte replied: “I can understand your point completely.”
She said that while maybe it’s “not the best message to put across”
it was her decision and something she wanted to do.
She also pointed out she could have remained tight-lipped about her nose job
but people would have seen the difference.
Janet continued to ask: “Why not try counselling or therapy to live with
the face you have rather than moving it around five inches?”
“I feel like I had that counselling every day off my mum,” replied
Charlotte, “and it didn’t really work.”
She added: “I’m very happy.”
Viewers instantly took to Twitter with some saying Janet was too harsh towards
Charlotte, whilst others agreed with her.
Meg tweeted: “How rude is Janet being to Charlotte on @loosewomen awful
to watch.”
While Lianne Robertson said :”@loosewomen blimey Janet leave the poor
lass alone!! Quite harsh on Charlotte there.”
But Declan Carruthers agreed with janet and tweeted: “I really disagree
with Charlotte’s choice. I completely agree with what Janet is saying, she’s
not a good role model @loosewomen”
The interview ended with Charlotte being asked about her on/off relationship
with George Shore co-star Gaz Beadle.
When asked about filming she said, “It has been a bit awkward, but I’ve
remained professional.”
Host Ruth Jones asked her if they were together, to which Charlotte replied
quite firmly: “No we are not together, No.”
