SHE strutted down catwalks all across the world in her heyday, but Linda
Evangelista has proved she can still pull off any look as she got her geek
on in New York.
The former supermodel was snapped looking nerdy but nice as she stepped out in
the Big Apple with her son Augustin.
And it was the second time she has been seen
in public in the last fortnight, a rarity for the woman who was once one
of the world’s most photographed women.
Linda, who turns 51 next month, dressed down for the morning jaunt, her hair
scraped back in a ponytail, her face framed by some grey cat-eye glasses.
Her hair is longer than her trademark crop of the Nineties and she’s not as
catwalk slim as she once was, but the way she held herself showed the
supermodel within.

Linda, who once famously declared she never got out of bed for less than
$10,000 a day, was one fifth of the world’s top supermodels – which included
Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington.
She retired from full-time modelling in 1998 and after three years of no work
at all, she returned sporadically.
She has since said she will never rule out having cosmetic surgery.
She said: “I probably will have surgery – not right now, but I am getting
close. If it’s important to me I will have it, and announce that I’ve had
it.”
In 2006 she gave birth to Augustin, whose father is billionaire Frenchman
François-Henri Pinault, now married to actress Salma Hayek.
