A 12-YEAR-OLD girl wows the crowd with her cover of Defying Gravity in a
preview clip of Britain’s Got Talent 2016.
Schoolgirl Beau Dermott, from Widnes, had audience members gasping as she
belted out the signature song from hit musical Wicked.
The youngster confessed she was nervous before auditioning for Simon Cowell,
Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams, as her mum, dad and brother
Ben looked on.
But she clearly had nothing to be anxious about as her talent blew the judges
away.
Amanda Holden looked particularly thrilled with the performance, after noting
that the ballad – originally recorded by Kristin Chenoweth and Let It Go
singer Idina Menzel – is a “hard song” to sing.
“That’s a very different girl from the one we saw backstage here,” noted host
Ant as she delivered the stunning rendition.
Beau says her ambition is to perform on the West End and record her own music.
