LIAM Payne has sparked speculation that he may have got another tattoo tribute
girlfriend Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.
The former One Direction singer’s relationship with the X Factor judge was exclusively
unveiled by The Sun in February, with claims the 22-year-old had copied
Cheryl’s infamous rose bum tattoo on his hand as a tribute to their new
love.
Now Liam has started work on a new sleeve which features a clock face set at
11.55 surrounded by cogs.
While there is no immediate connection to Cheryl, 32, the timing on the clock
face could be significant as the couple reportedly embarked on their
surprising new romance after One Direction performed on the X Factor for the
final time in December – the twelfth month of the year.
Within the main clock face, a smaller dial marks the seconds with the pointer
sat at 10, which could be a nod to the age gap between them.
The tattoo could also be a nod to his boyband past however, as the group’s
third album was called Midnight Memories.
Liam is yet to share the picture of his latest body art himself, but he was
happy to pose for a picture with the man who carried out the work, Nikko
Hurtado.
In the black and white snap the singer can be seen with his arm round the
tattoo artist, concealing his new sleeve as he smiled for the camera.
Nikko wrote alongside it: “Hey some times I don’t know who my clients are
until after my daughter flips out about it. Was an honor tattooing
@fakeliampayne from #onedirection the last few days.

The professional also shared a close up snap of the new inking, but explained
it is still a work in progress.
He added: “What I started yesterday on @fakeliampayne still need work top
watch is just laid out not complete yet. Fun tattoo and fun sleeve to start.
Can’t wait for the next sitting.”
Nikko is based in California, so there is a good chance that Cheryl
accompanied Liam to his sitting, as they were spotted
arriving hand in hand in Los Angeles last week.

The couple’s relationship has been going from strength to strength recently,
with the pair enjoying their
first public date night together before they flew to America.
They smiled and held hands outside upscale seafood spot Salmontini in posh
Belgravia and wore matching all-black ensembles, with Cheryl sporting a
necklace that spelled out “Love” in large letters.
The outing followed Liam’s
gushing tribute to his new lady in an Instagram post on March 8, when he
wrote: “Happy #internationalwomensday to my favourite woman in the
world. Hope I make you as happy as u make me X”
However, their relationship has faced criticism from a number of people close
to couple, including
Liam’s ex-girlfriend Sophia Smith, who branded it “weird”.
She told : “It’s so weird. I knew about them a little bit ago, but
who thought it would actually come out? I didn’t.”
Liam and Sophia broke up in October after two years together, but just two
months later, the star had already moved on to the Geordie beauty.
