THE sister of disgraced footballer Adam Johnson has launched a Facebook
campaign appealing for “justice” for the convicted paedophile.
The sacked Sunderland star’s sister, Faye, posted a picture of Johnson
cuddling his baby daughter using the hashtag #TeamAJ.
In the picture the one-year-old, who a judge told Johnson to “say goodbye” to
last week, is wearing a Sunderland top bearing his number 11 and the word
DADDY emblazoned across the top.
The post reads: “Justice for Johnson. Change your profile picture to
support Adam Johnson’s appeal Facebook removed our group but we will not
stop publicising our support #TeamAJ.”
It comes as a Facebook page supporting an appeal by the disgraced footballer
is back up and running just a day after being removed.
Adam Johnson’s Appeal Fight, which has more than 2,100 likes, was set up in
support for the shamed prem star when he was convicted of child sex charges.
Support pages for the shamed footie star have received a mixed response with
some supporting Johnson and others slamming the post.
User Cameron Cowell shared the post saying: “What he’s done is wrong but this
is heart braken (sic)”.
But another user John Nufc Guthery asked: “This some kind of sick joke?”
Harry O’Hare wrote: “No thanks, sick pedo sympathisers¿Lock him up now.”
The picture has already been shared more than 200 times and has been reported
by some users.

On a previous Adam Johnson support group around 1,000 people had liked the
page before Facebook removed it from the site.
Among those angry about the appeal page were the anonymous paedophile hunters,
Dark Justice.
One of the Tyneside-based pair said: “We think it’s crazy such a page
even got made and some of the stuff said on there was sick.
“There was no need at all. We’re glad it’s gone.”
The page was littered with abusive comments about Johnson’s 15-year-old
victim.
Faye Johnson has also changed her profile picture since to one of the former
footballer beaming with his daughter on his shoulders.
Friends have labelled the picture “lovely” and “beautiful”, others have taken
aim at Johnson’s victim branding her a “silly wannabe wag”.
Johnson was told a jail sentence was “almost inevitable” after the 28-year-old
was convicted of grooming and two counts of sexual activity with a child.
