David Bowie’s mugshot from 1976 has to be the coolest ever

CELEBRITY mugshots are rarely their finest moment.

But then most celebrities would kill to have an ounce of the cool of David
Bowie.

A mugshot of the Ziggy Stardust star from 1976 has been doing the rounds on
social media, following his death from cancer on Sunday.

And it has to be the coolest mugshot EVER.

You may be cool. But you will NEVER be 1976 David Bowie mugshot cool.

The picture was taken after the star was arrested for marijuana possession in
a New York hotel, along with pal Iggy Pop, on March 21, 1976.

The singer appeared in court, charged with a class-C felony and could have
faced up to 15 years in prison in Rochester, but the charges were ultimately
dropped.

The picture was recovered from the rubbish of a retired police officer by
auction house worker Gary Hess and subsequently sold for £1,900.
