There’s something you haven’t noticed about the carpets in Wetherspoons

THE beer is cheap, the food is good and there isn’t a hipster in sight.

Wetherspoon pubs are everywhere and we’ve all been inside our local one at
least once in our lifetime – right?

When you’re in a Spoonies, you’re too busy looking at cask ales, bargain
prices or planning a way to get Curry Club in your life.

It turns out, every single carpet you see in the pub chain is completely
different.

This phenomenon has not gone unnoticed.

London blogger, Kit Caless, has dedicated a whole to cataloguing every one of the 950 Wetherspoons carpet designs
in the country.

And unique doesn’t come cheap.

These tapestries cost between £20,000 and £30,000 each – all soaking up your
spilt drinks or vomit.

They’re made from scratch and ornately patterned – by the renowned firm
Axminster, no less.

Rather than stick to five or six colours like other companies, Wetherspoons
often have more and produce old-fashioned looms.

Who knew these the British boozer’s carpets are actually masterpieces and not
for disguising drunken spillages.

Next time you go in, now you have a great excuse to take a feet selfie at
Spoonies.
