MARK-Francis Vandelli has become the fourth celebrity to quit The Jump after
breaking his ankle.
The Made in Chelsea star, 26, has been forced to withdraw from the competition
after injuring himself during the Snow Cross event on Sunday’s show.
Viewers saw him fall down during the event and he was unable to compete in the
live jump to determine who would be leaving the competition.
But his accident was more serious than first thought and after surgery
yesterday he will exit the Channel 4 competition.

A Channel 4 spokeswoman said: “Whilst racing during the show on Sunday
evening, Mark-Francis fell, injuring his ankle.
“He received immediate medical attention but sadly will not be able to
continue in the competition due to an ankle fracture which has now been
treated.”
His departure comes after actress Tina
Hobley and swimmer Rebecca
Adlington were forced to quit after injuries.
On Saturday, Olympic
gymnast Beth Tweddle fractured two vertebrae which resulted in her being
airlifted to hospital.
She has since had surgery, using a piece of bone from her hip to fuse together
the break.
However, the extremely serious injury means she has also had to wave goodbye
to the C4 show.
In a statement released yesterday, the broadcaster said: “All winter
sports carry some element of risk but, in light of the number of injuries
this year, Channel 4 has asked the producers to review safety procedures
again.”
