YAYA TOURE is so disillusioned at Manchester City he is ready to take a pay cut to get out.
The powerhouse midfielder would relish a return to Barcelona.
And Toure would even consider joining another Premier League club for less than the £11million a year City pay him.
Toure’s agent Dimitry Seluk fumed: “There’s a big possibility Yaya will leave this summer. Yaya is very upset.
“It’s not possible to buy relationships with money. And if they cannot shake the hand of Yaya, bye bye, no problem.”
Toure felt unwanted at City last year as the club dragged their feet for seven months over a new four-year deal and rushed it through only when the player threatened to quit.
Last Tuesday, Sheikh Mansour held a big party in Abu Dhabi to celebrate the Etihad outfit’s title triumph.
City’s bash at the St Regis hotel on Saadiyat Island coincided with Toure’s 31st birthday. But nobody from the club wished the Ivorian superstar many happy returns.
Seluk said: “Yaya gives everything to his club and is probably the best player in the team — and the club do not protect him anywhere.
“What happened at his birthday meant the club don’t care about him. It was proof.
“They can say whatever they want, ‘Oh we like him but we forgot’.
“Forgot? About Yaya? The player who helped you to be two-times Premier League champions?
“The guy who helped you win the FA Cup and the League Cup?
“His birthday can be on a normal day and, in a normal team, his team-mates and club would at least give him good wishes.
“But when you win the title on May 11, a day later you go to Abu Dhabi and on May 13 you have a big party to celebrate the title and nobody comes to Yaya to say, ‘Happy birthday’, what more do you want?
“They can say everything with words. But what we see in action is nothing. It’s proof they don’t care about him.”
Russian Seluk has been with Toure for 12 years and the star calls him ‘Dad’.
But Seluk’s relationship with City technical director Txiki Begiristain has been fraught ever since Toure quit Barca in 2010 — when the Spaniard held the same role at the Nou Camp.
Seluk added: “He is a defensive midfielder and scored more Premier League goals than anyone at City. Only Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge scored more goals.
“I have nothing against Suarez who is a great player.
“I represented Suarez along with his agent Pere Guardiola when he was at Ajax for a £16million deal with City.
“This was a few years ago but Brian Marwood with Garry Cook, clever guys, said Suarez was not good enough for City.”
Seluk joked: “Yaya won the title, Suarez didn’t. Maybe I will advise Yaya to bite a chunk of John Terry’s arm next season. This way, the season after, he could win Footballer of the Year.
“If a player like Yaya went to Liverpool and they won the league after 24 years, I think Yaya can be a god in Liverpool.
“But at City, Yaya is no hero. He’s nobody. That’s how the club make him feel.
“He’s very upset and he started thinking of leaving the club. And he will leave if things carry on like this.”
Seluk continued: “It’s not a question of money or contract, believe me. He has everything he needs. But as I said one year ago, for Yaya what is the most important thing is human relationships. Money is not important.
“When your best worker has his birthday, from time to time it’s not bad to shake his hand. To make him feel valued and appreciated.
“They don’t give any attention to Yaya. This is the s***tiest thing.
“If they think that with the money they can buy everything, they are wrong.
“And now, with Financial Fair Play for them, it’s very good if Yaya goes. They can receive money and they can show to UEFA they have money.
“And they can let Manuel Pellegrini win the title with Fernando from Porto.”
Seluk insisted: “We’re not doing this for more money. We probably can go for less money to another club.
“Yaya is rich enough, I am rich enough and for us the most important thing is relationships.
“If they think they pay too much, no problem. We leave.”
Seluk concluded: “Yaya and I would agree a bet with City. If Yaya leaves the club and City win the Premier League I agree to sweep the floor at the training ground for a month for free.
“But if not, Txiki and City chief executive officer Ferian Soriano would have to sweep the streets in Trafalgar Square for one day.
“I think these people don’t care. Only stupid people would want Yaya to leave the club.
“For me, this is a strange situation because, if you think about it, when Yaya left Barcelona it was with the same people.
“Now these people come to Manchester City and Yaya must leave City.”
