Sepp Blatter effigy burned at Lewes bonfire night event

IF Sepp Blatter’s suspension has left him a little hot under the collar — then last night’s bonfire night celebrations will not have helped.

Huge effigies of the under-fire Fifa president holding wads of cash were burned in Lewes and Edenbridge after corruption scandals rocked the football world.

Blatter has denied any wrongdoing while in control of the governing body but several high-profile figures have been implicated and documents have been seized.
