MANCHESTER UNITED players cowered in terror as their team bus was attacked by
West Ham fans as it drove towards Upton Park on Tuesday night.
Incredible footage shows several United stars, including Jesse Lingard, Phil
Jones, Chris Smalling and Michael Carrick throwing themselves onto the floor
in the middle of the coach while Hammers supporters pelt the vehicle with
missiles.
Lingard took a starring role in the video and shouted out: “Oh s**t, oh s**t”.
Some of the terrified players hid on the floor in the middle of the bus while
dressed in their official team suits before the match, West Ham’s last at
the stadium.
The England under-21 winger could be heard shouting “Guys? Guys,” before
putting his hand over his mouth in shock.
A frightened Lingard then appeared to try to make light of the shocking
situation by screaming for his mother.
He shrieked: “Mummy! Mummy!
As the clip comes to a close, Lingard turned to his calm-looking team-mate
Cameron Borthwick-Jackson who was sat by the window simply minding his own
business on his phone.
He asked: “Yo, Cam, you alright?”
While some of the players were clearly terrified, others appeared to take the
incident in their stride as shrieks of laughter could be heard.

An official tweet on the Met Police Football Unit’s Twitter account read: “We
are aware that a number of items were thrown towards Man Utd’s coach this
evening. One officer and a member of the public were injured.”
But West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan blasted United for not arriving
earlier for the game.
He said: “I’m gravely disappointed, more for our supporters.
“What people forget is they’ve got trains and buses to get home and we’ve got
a wonderful, wonderful show after the game for them. many just can’t stay
any more.
“United should have got here at 4pm. They know it’s our last game. They had
the same problem at Tottenham a few weeks ago.
“I think the police and officials have been kind. I’d make them kick-off at
7.45pm if I was in charge.”
