LEICESTER’S
title party just got bigger.
Foxes fans Kasabian will play the King Power Stadium on May 28 to celebrate
the most stunning achievement in Premier League history.
Leaders
Leicester visit Manchester
United on Sunday needing just three wins from three games to clinch the
crown – a 5,000-1 bet last August.
And four weeks later rock idols Kasabian will hold what they call “the
ultimate party” for 30,000 supporters.
Guitarist and songwriter Serge Pizzorno told the Leicester Mercury: “There’s
such an energy in the city at the minute.
“In a way it feels like we’re almost centre of the universe. Everyone is
watching.
“We’ve always wanted to play at the King
Power and after this season… we had to do it.
“No matter how it goes, we’re going to need a place to all stand together
and reflect on what’s happened because it is just unbelievable.
“In the stadium, with us playing our music. There is no better way. We’re
so proud.”
Kasabian have moved forward plans to play there next year.
Frontman Tom Meighan said: “It makes sense. It’s such an honour.”
He added: “It’s been a lot to take in. We’re just praying.
“I think we’re everyone’s second favourite team in the world. It’s not
Barcelona anymore, or Real Madrid. It’s Leicester
City. Even Arsenal fans want us to win.”
Meighan added of Sunday’s possible title-clincher: “It would be the
biggest thing ever to win at Old Trafford.
“I don’t know how I’m going to handle it. My stomach will be churning.”
Second-placed
Tottenham are seven points adrift.

And Pizzorno believes Leicester
will take the crown by Monday night at the latest.
He said: “If you’re looking for a fairytale, that’s it – to win there (Old
Trafford).
“I’m awful at predictions but I think it’ll be a draw but Spurs will get
beat by Chelsea.”
