Falcao had a Real desire

Colombian star's dad spills the beans

RADAMEL FALCAO’S dad has all-but admitted Manchester United’s megabucks
signing wanted to join Real Madrid.

The Colombian superstar was desperate to clinch a move to the Bernabeu but the
Spanish giants did not see the deal through with Monaco.

And his dad Radamel Garcia also admitted Falcao turned down Manchester City,
Liverpool AND Arsenal to join United.

He said: “Things did not happen with Real Madrid because, if you have money
and you go to the shops to buy a shirt or trousers, you have to decide if
you buy it or not.

“So Real Madrid opted not to do it and you can’t do anything about that.

“Apart from that, I don’t know, I have a feeling they wanted the player to
offer himself as a gift with a number of conditions and things like that.

“It didn’t happen because as I said they decided to buy the trousers and the
shirt they wanted and they considered was better for them and you have to
accept that because they are the ones who pay the money.”

Garcia told Colombian radio: “Thank God, everything happened with Manchester
United.

“Radamel is a person that has done many things in Europe and has always
deserved the best for all his efforts, and sacrifice in his career.

“Manchester United is the most important team in England and one of the most
powerful financially.

“Now he must perform at his best to continue winning.

“Fortunately he has adapted to European football and in the teams where he has
been in Argentina it was easily done too.

“Juventus, Manchester City, Liverpool also approached him and Arsenal at the
last minute.

“Fortunately, he ended up at Manchester United, a great team that he has
to lead forward.”

Meanwhile, furious Monaco fans claim they have been BETRAYED by
Falcao’s move.

Now they are demanding the club refund their season ticket money after being
taken for a ride by a series of broken promises.

The fans are also fuming about the £63million sale of Falcao’s Colombian
team-mate James Rodriguez to Real Madrid.

An angry statement on the website Planet ASM said: “The fans who have bought
into the promises of the club today feel betrayed for having accepted a
significant increase in season ticket prices at Stade Louis II.

“We have been taken for a ride all summer by slogans and posters promising
that the future of the club will be focused on Radamel Falcao and James
Rodriguez.

“With the departure of these two players and almost no new signings during the
whole transfer window, Monaco fans are swinging between anger, confusion and
frustration.

“So now we say to all supporters, demand a refund for your season ticket.

“During the summer of 2012, fans of AC Milan demanded the departure of the
president Silvio Berlusconi after they sold Zlatan Ibrahmovic and Thiago
Silva to Paris Saint-Germain.

“The club responded to that criticism by offering a refund to unhappy
supporters and now we call on Monaco to do the same.

“There is nothing to indicate that the club will accept these demands but at
least we can show our general unhappiness.”
