CARA DELEVINGNE has already revealed more about herself than her famously
tight-lipped pal KATE MOSS ever has.
Now the model has opened up about suffering from psoriasis — and says she
turns to Kate and RIHANNA for advice.
I never had those two down as agony aunts.
Talking about breaking out in unsightly scabs caused by the skin condition,
Cara said: “It only happened during Fashion Week. Which is, of course, the
worst time of the year for me to be covered in scabs.”
Cara — seen above posing with an owl in her new campaign for Mulberry — went
on: “Psoriasis is an auto-immune disease, and I’m sensitive.
“Kate Moss saw me before the LOUIS VUITTON show at 3am, when I
was being painted by people to cover the scabs.
“She said, ‘This is horrible! Why is this happening? I need to help you.’
“She got me a doctor that afternoon. Kate gives really good advice.”
Cara also revealed she was close to landing the lead role in TIM BURTON’s
Alice In Wonderland film a few years back.
She says she’s turning to acting and singing in a bid to beat breakouts of
psoriasis, which is thought can be aggravated by stress.
She said: “I want to make music, I want to act, I want to sing.
“I want to do something that doesn’t make my skin erupt.” She added: “I was
just on holiday for three days in Greece with my sister, and I thought that
would make me happy and relaxed. But when I stop everything, it’s really
bad. I go crazy.
“In Greece, it was a lot of couples, and I felt alone, which made me sad. I
called Rihanna, She said, ‘It’s easy to drown yourself in work. That’s a
form of escapism.
“‘So, if you’re alone and you want to cry, cry’. And I did.”
I’m surprised Rihanna didn’t also tell her to post some more Instagram snaps.
