Brit Awards 2015: The Fallen Madonna

(With the big boob...)

MADONNA blamed her sensational fall off the stage at the Brit Awards last
night on her flowing costume.

The Queen of Pop, 56, tumbled down a flight of steps while singing new single
Living for Love.

The audience at the O2 Arena in London gasped as she hit the floor but Madge
clambered back up and carried on her performance of the new track — which
includes the lyrics: “Let me fall down, watched me stumble, I’m gonna carry
on.”

She later blamed the accident on her outfit.

Madonna told fans on Instagram: “My beautiful cape was tied too tight! But
nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up! Thanks for your good
wishes! I’m fine!”

Fans said it looked as if the star had been accidentally dragged off stage by
one of her dancers.

Madonna’s fall livened up a Brits bore-fest with predictable wins for Ed
Sheeran and Sam Smith.

Kanye West had no such excuses for his act as he turned the awards into a
shambles with an expletive-ridden performance.

The controversial US rapper, 37 — drafted in at the last minute to replace
Rihanna — shocked TV viewers and the audience with repeated use of the N-
word and other expletives.

Broadcasters ITV failed to mute the start of the performance, resulting in a
backlash from viewers.

But others blasted them for muting too much of it for long periods which
ruined it for viewers.

Kanye had been introduced on stage by his reality star wife Kim Kardashian,
34, who presented Sam Smith with his Global Success gong.

Kanye kept the brand new song, called All Day, so secret only his inner circle
was allowed to watch his earlier dress rehearsal.

His performance led to instant reaction on Twitter, with one user tweeting:
“Brit awards go to all the trouble of muting half kanye’s song and STILL let
the n word out three times.”

And Jennie Grimmett wrote: “Well done to @ITV for blocking out the only part
of Kanye’s song that wasn’t a swear word and for letting him drop that
n-bomb on live TV.”

An ITV spokeswoman last night defended the coverage.

She said: “We have operated a short time delay as standard practice for some
years on the show, to allow us to mute language that may be inappropriate
for that wide audience.”

Kanye earlier got energised for his performance by shunning backstage luxuries
and dining at a nearby Nando’s.

The rapper ate with his entourage and at first shunned curious fans, telling
them: “I’m just a singer who wants to be left alone.”

But the grumpy star soon embraced the attention and jumped on to a food
counter, yelling: “If we are gonna do this, let’s do it right.”

He then encouraged them to join him in a chant of “Yeezus” — the name of his
last album.

— MADONNA had so many dancers for her starring performance they
had to be given their very own dressing room section outside the main
backstage area.

RITA ORA had a close miss with ex CALVIN HARRIS as the pair
arrived at the bash.

Calvin, 31, dumped The Voice judge, 24, last year after a year-long
relationship.

But luckily the musician managed to avoid bumping into her on the red carpet.

A source said: “Calvin and Rita both arrived in quick succession.

“It could have been seriously awkward if they ended up on the red carpet next
to each other.

“But Calvin was on the ball and got to his dressing room quickly.

“By the time Rita made it inside he had gone.”

established, and in the case of LUKE HEMMINGS old enough to drink, it
was a different story to last year.
