KATE MOSS and Jamie Hince’s four-year marriage is over, The Sun can reveal.
The warring pair have told friends their relationship cannot be salvaged.
And The Sun has learned that the marriage has been on the rocks for two years.
Kate’s jealousy over rocker Jamie’s friendships with other women is said to be a key factor in the split.
Last night a mutual friend said: “They are properly over as a married couple. It’s gone past the point of no return.
“Jamie’s just waiting for Kate to move forward with divorce proceedings.
“Neither are in any hurry but they both suspect there won’t be a reconciliation.
“They accept they’ll probably have to make some sort of statement but don’t want to feel forced into anything.”
Another pal said: “Jamie’s been clear that they’ve not been close for a long time.
“She’s always been beyond jealous about his female friends and he was sick of it.”
The revelation comes just days after The Sun on Sunday told how the pair, who wed in July 2011, have not spoken for weeks.
But the first incident that signalled trouble, which has never previously been reported, was at Croydon-born Kate’s birthday party two years ago.
The supermodel shoved Jamie’s married friend Lady Mary Charteris into a swimming pool after seeing her chat to Kills guitarist Jamie.
A friend said: “It was really awful — she was wearing a floor-length gown and carrying a phone and her handbag.
“All Mary had done is talk to Jamie like she always does. But Kate couldn’t cope.”
Other pals point out Mary has been unnecessarily rude towards Kate, 41, who has a 12-year-old daughter Lila Grace with ex Jefferson Hack.
Earl’s daughter Mary has even snobbily referred to her directly as “Croydon Kate”.
In recent weeks Jamie, 46, has sought support from Mary, 28, and husband Robbie Furze, 24, both members of rock band The Big Pink.
Jamie has always insisted his friendship with Lady Mary is completely platonic.
A friend said: “Mary and Robbie have very much been looking after Jamie through this really difficult time.
“They’ve been very true and loyal friends regardless of what Kate might think of them.”
Meanwhile it is widely speculated in the industry that Jamie’s Kills bandmate Alison Mosshart did not approve of his relationship with Kate, leading to tensions between the two women.
Intriguingly, many of the pair’s mutual friends have shown far more sympathy towards Jamie over the split.
The mutual friend said: “Everyone’s rallying around Jamie over it all and feeling very sad for him.
“Hardly anyone seems that concerned that Kate’s going through a break-up too. She’s burned a lot of bridges over the past few months.”
Friends have become increasingly concerned her marriage woes could encourage Kate, who was previously engaged to The Libertines singer Pete Doherty, to return to her wild partying ways.
And best mates Sadie Frost and Fran Cutler are encouraging another group detox away from the booze.
The group’s most recent trip to the LifeCo Clinic spa in Bodrum, Turkey, last month ended in Kate allegedly being escorted off their easyJet flight home by police.
She reportedly called a flight attendant a “basic bitch” when the service ran out of sandwiches.
The pal said: “She’s taking the partying behaviour a little too far at the moment as the easyJet incident showed.
“Lately she’s not had an off switch and a lot of people are a bit worried for her.”
Spokesmen for both Kate and Jamie, who is in the US for a Kills tour, did not respond to repeated requests from The Sun to comment last night.
